Father Girard
Father Girard is a younger priest with a warm charming smile, and a french accented voice that seems to have been touched by God himself. Always he carries a bible in his right hand, and a simple wooden cane in the other. The cane is not for aesthetics, as he walks with a painful limp.
He came to Long Beach to take over as the pastor of Saint Dymphna's Parish, an old Catholic Church. Leaving Father McMullen to give mass, Father Girard works behind the scenes trying to expand the current church programs to benefit the needy. As well as giving confession, and with the aid of his background in psychology counselling those of his flock in need. Still however, he does give mass every now and then during the evenings.
When he goes out into the city, away from the Church, he is rarely seen alone. From time to time Father McMullan will join him, to keep him company. But always at his side is Saint Dymphna's Parish, Mark St. Pierre. The youth, probably due to the Father's disability, is rather overprotective of the Father, and insists of following everywhere he goes to assist him with any and all his needs.
