Father Girard
Father Girard is a younger priest with a warm charming smile, and a french accented voice that seems to have been touched by God himself. Always he carries a bible in his right hand, and a simple wooden cane in the other. The cane is not for aesthetics, as he walks with a painful limp.
He came to Long Beach to take over as the pastor of Saint Dymphna's Parish, an old Catholic Church. Leaving Father McMullen to give mass, Father Girard works behind the scenes trying to expand the current church programs to benefit the needy. As well as giving confession, and with the aid of his background in psychology counselling those of his flock in need. Still however, he does give mass every now and then during the evenings.
When he goes out into the city, away from the Church, he is rarely seen alone. From time to time Father McMullan will join him, to keep him company. But always at his side is Saint Dymphna's Parish, Mark St. Pierre. The youth, probably due to the Father's disability, is rather overprotective of the Father, and insists of following everywhere he goes to assist him with any and all his needs.
Mark St. Pierre
At an early age Mark was taken in by Father McMullan to keep him from a life of crimes among the street gangs of Long Beach. Since then he has became an golden gloves boxer, and altar boy at Saint Dymphna's Parish. With the arrival of the new pastor, Father Girard, Mark has been showing his protective nature by never leaving the crippled Father's side. He may be overprotective, and comes from a shadey background, but Mark is a good kid, and lives to serve the Lord through Father Girard.
Father McMullan
Father John McMullan has been a priest at Saint Dymphna's Parish for many years. He's a kind, intelligent priest, a Jesuit. What hasn't been none until recently that he is a divine singer. When Father Girard arrived to take over the Church, and discovered his voice, he insisted that Father McMullan continue as the main priest to give sermons, while Father Girard took on the work behind the scenes. It was Father Girard's thought that the congregation should not be denied such a voice.
Saint Dymphna's Parish
A once popular catholic church, Saint Dymphna's Parish has fallen a bit out of grace in the last few decades. The church as under the car of jesuit priest named Father McMullan for the last decade or so, along with the altar boy Mark St. Pierre. But attendance was low. But recently a new pastor has came to the church. A Father Girard, who seems determined to return this church to it's former glory. While Father Girard maybe the pastor of the church, he has left Father McMullan to continue serving mass as he's discovered his heavenly singing voice, and has insisted that he make use of it. This also leaves Father Girard the time he needs to work behind the scenes to reform this church, and it's various programs that have fallen to the side in recent years.
Jim McDonald
Not much is known about Mr McDonald. He arrived with Father Girard to Long Beach, joining him at Saint Dymphna's Parish. Since then he's been hard at work as the church's caretaker.
